About Pina
Designer and Hypnotherapist Pina, has a creative vision which emerges from her love of color and passion for wellness. Pina discovered her creative inclination early. "My passion for the arts and design began at an young age. I learned design skills and the importance of color early. Realizing my level of engagement with paper dolls and doll clothes, my mother taught me how to hand sew, crochet and embroider with vivid colors as a child."
Pina learned draping, pattern making, fashion illustration and how to create a fashion line in high school. Her studies led her to Parsons School of Design where she had the opportunity to be guided by a highly skilled faculty including Tim Gun, as well as mentoring programs by industry leaders such as Donna Karan, Louis Dell'Olio and Isaac Mizrahi and Anna Sui.
Upon graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Fashion and Fine Arts, Pina worked for major brands, giving her the opportunity to gain a diverse knowledge of brand development. Leaning in to her interest of understanding how industries construct brand concepts, beauty and cultural identity, Pina pursued graduate studies leading her to Columbia University and New York University. Today she continues to integrate cognitive function, cultural ideals of beauty and emotional development and how they influence each other through her fashion line and hypnotherapist practice.
Among the awards Pina has received are the NAMSB ward for excellence in design, a runway collaboration with Godiva, and a hand painted gown housed by the Museum of the City of New York. She is also an engaging speaker about the beauty industry, identity wellness, and creativity.
Pina's design expertise, interest in wellness, and love of nature, has led her to a more conscious vision of apparel.
